October 24, 2026, Chili Cook-Off is a fundraiser for Cache la Poudre Fire and Emergency Group, a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit that provides funds and resources for the Poudre Canyon Fire Protection District. Similar to the Chili Cook-Off held pre-COVID, this event includes a BBQ meal, a silent auction, and a live auction.
🗓 When: Saturday, October 24th (Time to be determined).
• 📍 Where: Station 2/Community Center, 33689 Highway 14, Bellvue.
• 🗣 Your Auctioneer: Neil D. Hutcheson from Evergreen, Colorado
Member of the National Auction Association, Colorado Auctioneers Association, and
Fellowship of Christian Auctioneers International, Certified Benefit Auctioneer.
•🍖 Dinner: BBQ dinner, with all the fixings, provided by Hog Wild BBQ, Fort Collins.
•🌶 Chili Cook-off “Chiefs Choice”: Fifteen chilis will be selected for competition this year (5 green, 5 red, and 5 “other” chilis). Poudre Canyon’s Fire Chief, Hugh Collins, and other local Fire Chiefs (announced at the Cook-off) will be our judges. Tell us why your chili should be selected for competition by submitting your “tasty chili story" to clpfeg@poudrecanyonfiredistrict.org on or before October 1st. Please provide your name and phone number with your submission. Notification of those who have been selected will be provided to everyone on October 16.
•🥧 Pie Auction - Hello, Bakers! We are asking for submissions for a pie auction. Five pies will be selected for auction this year. Tell us why your pie should be selected by submitting your “pie-oh-my” story to clpfeg@poudrecanyonfiredistrict.org on or before October 1st. Please provide your name and phone number with your submission. Notification of those who have been selected will be provided to everyone on October 16.
• 🎁 Auction Donations: We are seeking donations for the live and silent auctions. We are happy to arrange for the pickup of donated items. If you wish to donate (s), please contact Cheryl (Micky) York at c.york@poudrecanyonfiredistrict.org or call 970-227-0155 to speak with a Board Member. All money raised through your donations will be used for training, equipment, and as matching dollars for grants. In order for this event to be a success, we are seeking items for both auctions, door prizes, and cash donations. Your gifts, cash or otherwise, are tax-deductible in accordance with the current IRS code for 501(c)(3) organizations.
